A story about Ryan Pavlik
He is around somewhere very close but I need to take a moment and find him in person (I have talked to him on IRC).

The first time I saw Bil his powerbook was covered with the Chunky Bacon Foxes from Why’s Guide to Ruby and he was wearing a T-shirt with the Chunky Bacon comic strip at the Ruby Conference 2005 at San Diego.
I couldn’t help resist suspecting him of being the ONE “the Why” I asked and he said no he wasn’t but he wishes to be as smart as Why.
I met DHH at the recent Ruby Conference 2005 in San Diego on his birthday.
The next day I showed him a little bug in backpackit.com lists AJAX which he acknowledged.
Very nice person, humble and polite.
Got a photo with him and his autograph on my Programming Ruby Book
Martin Fowler is a prolific and highly readable technical author.
I am a big fan of his writings for some time now, starting with UML Distilled and most recently I have enjoyed reading his Patterns of Enterprise Archictecture.
I am pleasantly surprised to see him at Ruby Conf 2005. I hope I get a chance to get a photo with him and his authograph on my Programming Ruby book (alas I don’t have any of his books along with me here in San Diego)
